Sniping in the BF engine is a challenge. There is actually bullet lead to take into acount. So if you hit anybody at medium or long distance on the run with any weapon, it's an accomplishment. I get a huge sense of satisfaction if I pull off a headshot with one of the sniper rifles while the target is on the run. :)Which throws you off when you get into FA. I actually caught myself leading targets. LOL

I really don't hate you. However, due to your past I cannot support you ever coming back to TA for a very very very long time. I do believe that peaple are capable of changing, and it would be interesting to watch and see if you did. Just don't hold your breath about us accepting that you have anytime soon.

What times are the DC server usually filled? I've been hankering for some DC action but I never see more than 4 peaple on our server.

The 3rd of the first person stealth series, Thief, is on the horizen. I have recieved in my Email a notice that the release date will be May 26th. A few of you may be familiar with the Thief series. The game where you play Garrett, the master thief, breaking into houses and tombs and making off with a fortune. The game is set more around stealth and cunning than mindless shooting. After Thief 2, Looking Glass Studios folded. I figured at that point that Thief 3 would never happen. Thankfully, I was wrong. Eidos picked up alot of the original Looking Glass crew to make Thief:Deadly Shadows. They dumped the old engine (The Dark Engine) and decided to create the new game around the UNREAL engine. Depends on the game. Gator wasn't bad at FA... he was scary with that M79 sometimes. :PMac scares me. He comes weaving at me with that FAMAS and I start to panic.Now, if you were to ask about DC players and BFV players... I'd put my vote out for Finner and Jasun. Myself, I'm a fair tank pilot, but I rule at the ground pounding urban fights.

I think this thread has been officially hiijacked.

The main issue has been Steam and CD clashing. Every Steam update disables CD's compatability and by the time an update comes out, Steam has updated again.

I don't think Firearms sees as high a percentage as cheaters as the other mods. The fact we are small and we have so many former CS players who are fed up with the cheats they saw works to our advantage in a way. Anybody in FA caught cheating is usually cast out with a vengence. Usually within a matter of days, they are banned off every decent server in the FA community.And it's for this reason, we have to be careful not to be quick to jump to conclusions. Heck, all of us have had a good day where we couldn't miss and got the accusations. In this small community, we must be careful not to accidently throw out our honest players with the dishonest players.From what I've read, this HLGuard is NOT the way to go. We're better off with CD.... when it works.

Problem with taking the towers out tho, is it takes out that spawn point too, and if they have flags, it makes those flags that much harder to take because they have no choice but to spawn at that flag.

Basically show up, when it comes time to start, the match coordinator (usually Mac) will say who stays and who leaves. Server gets restarted, peaple join the appropriate team... then away we go. Server is usually password locked a few minutes before the match.

Ahhh, but Valve seems to have done so little. From my understanding, their VAC coding reads "if you want to cheat, just patch here". Not to mention they've completely blown off the Evenbalance team with their offers to help. No, no game can be cheat free. But Valve didn't even try hard enough.

Unfortunatly, I made a commitment to my EQ group for something else before I saw this. I'll try to make an effort to check these every day instead of every couple days. Sorry guys, I've let you down.

Orion is right. However, pot should be made legal in pill form for medicinal uses only. The stuff is great for stimulating hunger and killing pain in those who are going thru the barbaric treatment known as Chemo. I personally support the medicinal use of Pot, but oppose the recreational use.Kinda makes me a hypocrite tho, as I enjoy my whiskey... legal drugs vs illegle arguement again tho.
